The closing date for entries was the end of September, Photos were independently judged in November.

The 2015 Amberol Photo Competition was judged in October/November, the winner was Terry Bane with a photo taken in Tamworth Park of Up The Pole Baskets complementing a rose garden, Terry was awarded 1000 worth of Amberol products as the winning prize.

Terry decided that most of the winnings should be used to purchase large Ambarrels  at The Assembly House in Norwich to replace smaller Ambarrels near Terry's Friend and Mentor Bill Webster Memorial Bench which was unveiled in July 2015 and takes pride of place surrounded by beautiful flowers.

The smaller Ambarrels are to be relocated a few hundred yards away at Gold winning St. Stephens Church grounds to join and complete a display of 12 ready for the 2016 RHS Britain in Bloom entry of Mancroft, which The Assembly House and St. Stephens Church both heavily feature.

This is the sixth time Terry has been successful in Amberol's photographic competition, Terry's photos have won first place three times before and as runner up twice before winning over 5000 worth of hanging baskets and troughs used in many community projects in Norwich, Shrewsbury and Swainsthorpe.

Terry and Mirelle visited many Towns, Cities, Parks and Gardens during holidays and trips during 2015, over the last few years we have visited and stayed at Travelodge in historic Tamworth a few times and walked into town visiting the castle, shops, streets and especially the beautiful well maintained Castle Pleasure Grounds where many photos of Amberol products on this page were taken as well as horticultural excellence features, one day I hope to produce a website showing more horticultural/environmental features and perhaps a book to.

TERRY'S TRAVELS

During my travels I am always keen and interested to see all types of annual, perennial and sustainable horticultural displays, baskets, planters and containers and Trees.

I particularly study the plants used, types, colours, foliage  and aim to gauge their maintenance and most important performance.

Even though I have been a professional for over 41 years I am still keen to continue to learn more, horticulture is ever changing with so many new varieties of plants and new products coming on to the market each year - its still very exciting to me.

Where ever possible I like to grow plants to trial myself for at least one season or trial through my horticultural friends so we can access, discuss and share our observations and advice to others.

I do  hope the photographs I have taken and shown on this and other webpage's inspire you to learn more and be creative in your own community and work with others to provide and enjoy your own colourful and interesting displays for everyone to enjoy as well as help provide habitat and support for your local native wildlife.
